A Fellowship Stands Together: Help for the Earthquake Victims in Northern Syria
EMS Sharing of Life Concerns
Time: 13:00 pm - 14:15 pm
Event location: Zoom
Organiser: Evangelical Mission in Solidarity

On the night of 6 February 2023, several earthquakes left large parts of the Turkish-Syrian border region in ruins. Thousands of people, including many children, were injured or killed. The powerful earthquakes have affected millions of people, especially in Northern Syria, which is lying down after twelve years of civil war. Survivors are in desperate need of aid.
The Evangelical Mission in Solidarity (EMS) is providing emergency aid through its network of churches in the Middle East. At our next sharing of life concerns Uwe Gräbe, EMS Middle East Officer, will report on the current situation and its impact on the crisis-ridden Middle East.
Baby formula, diapers and hygiene products for earthquake victims
From Lebanon, Anna Kierdorf and Antonia Kura, two German students at the Near East School of Theology (NEST) in Beirut, will talk about how they have teamed up with two NEST graduates coming from the northern Syrian earthquake zone to launch a relief campaign for children, the elderly and women.
