The EMS bodies are international committees since the EMS has been an international fellowship with equal rights for all 28 members since 2012. The working language of all bodies is English.
The EMS General Meeting to which the 28 members send delegates is convened every two years. The General Meeting is the most important organ of the EMS. It decides on the operational agenda of the fellowship and its long-term strategy.
The international executive board, the 17-member Mission Council, meets twice a year. The Mission Council adopts fundamental resolutions on current programmes run by the EMS.
A three-member Presidium manages the General Meeting and the Mission Council, ensuring that resolutions are implemented. The management of the Secretariat collaborates with the Presidium on important issues.
