Basel Mission German Branch Foundation
The Basel Mission was founded in 1815 in Switzerland and has kept close ties to Württemberg to this day. Missionaries from Switzerland and southwest Germany worked in Asia, Africa and Latin America; Rudolf Lechler from Hundersingen, for example, worked in China in the 19th century or Maria Schlenker from Heidenheim in Cameroon and Sudan in the 20th century.
Building on that, the Basel Mission German Branch was founded in 2005. It strives to reinforce the financial base of the varied partner relations and joint projects with churches all over the world. A particular quality feature of the Basel Mission has always been the consistence of word and deed. Consequently, the foundation still continues to support missionary and social projects in cooperation with mission 21 and EMS. You can be part of this work - with your contribution.
