Project of the month
India: Children's homes in South India
Children, and particularly girls, often lead difficult lives in India. The facilities offered by the Church of South India allow many to escape child labor and oppression.
Korea: The Diakonia Sisterhood
Poverty in old age is also a major problem in Korea. It is only recently that pension insurance was introduced there, which is why elderly people often find themselves in financial difficulties. The Diakonia Sisterhood comes to their assistance.
Korea: Ecological Centre
At the end of 2007, a tanker disaster before the coast of South Korea produced the worst oil spill catastrophe in the history of the country. In the aftermath, the population woke up to the immense importance of environmental protection and this led the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea to establish an Ecological Centre.
Korea: Peace Work
The continuous back and forth between rapprochement and hostility - since the peninsula was divided over 60 years ago, this is how relationships have been between North and South Korea. The local church pursues a policy of peace and reunification.
