Silent Night, candles, Advent wreath and Advent calendar – we all know what belongs to Christmas in our own country. But what about other countries? How are Advent and Christmas celebrated in the various EMS member churches? What are the special customs and traditions in India, Indonesia, Ghana, South Africa and Germany?

The EMS Communicators Network will share about this and present special features at the next Sharing of Life Concerns session on Monday, December 5 from 1 to 2:15 pm. In small groups, everyone can share their experiences, broaden their horizons and share with each other how the time leading up to the birth of Jesus is experienced in different traditions, colours, decorations, songs and stories and also surprisingly new interpretations. A warm invitation to all who are interested!
