After the Fukushima disaster in 2011, the United Church of Christ in Japan (UCCJ) received great support from partner organisations around the world, including the EMS.

Michiko Nishinosono, pastor of the Noda Church of the UCCJ and member of the WCC Central Committee, reports on the perspectives and challenges of the UCCJ ecumenical partnerships.
Terumi Kataoka, representative of the Aizu Radiation Information Centre, will give a brief report on the situation in the affected areas, where radioactivity remains a major concern.
