Sharing of Life Concerns:
“How Has Ecumenism Changed My Life?” – Pro Ökumene Württemberg
Time: 13:00 pm - 14:15 pm
Event location: Zoom conference
Organiser: Evangelical Mission in Solidarity (EMS)
We warmly invite you to the next EMS Sharing of Life Concerns on Monday, 1 June 2026 at 1.00 to 2.15pm (CEST).
Under the title “How Has Ecumenism Changed My Life?”, we would like to reflect together on how ecumenical experiences shape people, broaden horizons, and transform both personal and communal life.
In this Sharing, we welcome members of the Pro Ökumene Württemberg network, a group of Christians committed to the ecumenical movement worldwide and dedicated to promoting ecumenical learning, as well as addressing issues of justice, peace and the integrity of creation, mission, interfaith dialogue, and intercultural learning.
Three guests will share their personal stories with us: Rev. Dr Bernhard Dinkelaker, former EMS General Secretary; Ms Cathy Plato, born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and now actively involved in intercultural initiatives in Württemberg; and Rev. Albrecht Heim, a retired pastor who lived and worked in Brazil for many years. They will speak about how ecumenism has profoundly shaped their thinking, their faith, and their life journeys.
This gathering offers space to listen, share experiences, and learn from one another. Together, we seek to deepen our understanding of lived ecumenism, strengthen our sense of mutual connection, and explore how ecumenical encounters can transform our lives.
You are warmly invited to take part in the discussion, contribute your perspectives, and engage in conversation with participants from across our worldwide community.
