We warmly invite you to the next EMS Sharing of Life Concerns on Monday, 7 September 2026 at 1.00pm (CEST).

Under the title “The Response of Korean Churches to Climate Change”, we would like to explore the impacts of climate change together and discuss how Korean churches are responding to them.

Climate change is having a serious impact on people in all EMS member churches. Increasingly, heatwaves and periods of drought alternate with heavy rainfall and flooding. These climate changes are putting harvests at risk and threatening people’s lives.

Korean churches are actively committed to the care for creation. For them, Christian faith and engagement against climate change are closely intertwined. In this Sharing, we welcome Rev. Sang-Hoon Park from the Ecological Mission Headquarters of the Presbyterian Church in Korea (PCK) and Rev. Dong-Hyun Jang from the Eco Community Movement Centre of the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea (PROK). They will present the activities of their churches and share how Korean churches are responding to climate change.
