Sharing of Life Concerns:

“Who shapes our faith? Theological influences in our lives”

Time: 13:00 pm - 14:15 pm

Event location: Zom-Conference

Organiser: Evangelical Mission in Solidarity (EMS)

We warmly invite you to the next EMS Sharing of Life Concerns on Monday, 13 April 2026 at 1:00 pm (CEST).

Under the title “Who shapes our faith? Theological influences in our lives”, we would like to explore together the voices that have shaped—and continue to shape—our theological thinking, teaching, and actions.

Each of us carries influences within us: from our time of study, through formative mentors, church movements, or contemporary thinkers who challenge and inspire us. This gathering offers space to make these influences visible, to learn from one another, and to deepen our shared theological understanding.

On 13 April, Rev. Eleanor B. McCormick, Head of the Department Programmes and Networks and Head of the Unit Intercultural Theology, Education, Women and Gender at EMS, will engage in conversation with us on this topic. You are invited to briefly introduce a theologian who has inspired you and to share how this person—or a particular text—continues to shape your thinking today.

To help you prepare, you may reflect on the following guiding questions:

  • Who has significantly shaped your theological thinking?
  • Which theologian continues to influence the way you think and act today?
  • Whose work would you like to highlight or recommend within our diverse fellowship?

Register now and join the Zoom Sharing on Monday, 13 April 2026, from 1:00 to 2:15 pm (CEST).
