Rev. Dr. D. J. Ajith Kumar, General Secretary of the Church of North India, will reflect with us on why India’s history would have been different without the work of missionaries. He emphasizes: “Without the missionaries who came from Europe, our churches would not exist. The schools we grew up in and the entire healthcare system in India trace back to the initiatives of the missionaries. Without the contribution of Christians, India would be a poorer country today.”

What marks has Christian mission left on society, education, and healthcare? And what does this legacy mean for our responsibility as churches worldwide today? These are the questions we want to explore together.
