The new online series "Spotlight South Africa" invites participants to explore South Africa from a range of perspectives. Across three concise online seminars, speakers from South Africa will provide insights into current developments in church life, culture, politics and society, placing them in their wider context.

The series opens on 30 September 2026 with David William Daniels (South African Council of Churches Western Cape), who will speak about the expectations of Generation Z towards the South African churches. 

On 11 November 2026, the focus will be on how South African churches are addressing gender-based violence. Rev. Lilana Kasper (LUCSA) and Nandipha Sikhonje (Moravian Church in South Africa) will present a church-led awareness campaign. 

The final session on 27 January 2027 features Pastor Ntuthuko Nkosi (ELCSA), who will explore the relationship between South Africa and Palestine.

The seminars will be held in English, last approximately 30–45 minutes, and participants may register for the full series or attend individual sessions. A participation link will be sent by email before each event.
