Originally from Durban in South Africa, Thulile Zama is known for her powerful voice and infectious rhythms. She takes her audience on a musical journey. Her songs are messages of hope. At the beginning of May, Thulile Zama will be performing in a series of charity concerts organised by the EMS Foundation "Mission in Partnership". The proceeds will go to the Education Fund of the Evangelical Mission in Solidarity (EMS).

“Through music I can express things that are important to me and that I believe in," says Thulile Zama. The 41-year-old South African is an incredibly versatile singer. Her heart is in jazz. South African music legend Miriam Makeba is one of her biggest influences. Her latest project is the pop duo 'N'den', whose debut album 'Sisingathiwe' was released in June 2023. The ten songs are about love, joy and Christian faith, but also about xenophobia, toxic relationships and gender-based violence.

At the invitation of the EMS, Thulile Zama will first sing at the German Protestant Kirchentag in Hanover (30 April to 4 May 2025). She will then perform at a series of benefit concerts in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg. These concerts are not only an opportunity to enjoy great music, but also a chance to give a sign of hope. Proceeds from the concerts will go to the Evangelical Mission in Solidarity's (EMS) Future Fund for Education. EMS uses the funds to support educational projects for children in South Africa, India, Indonesia and the Middle East.
