From February 9 to 12, 2025, representatives of the member churches of the South & East Asia Regional Forum (SEARF) met in Delhi, India. Invited by the Evangelical Mission in Solidarity (EMS) and hosted by the Church of North India (CNI), participants from the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea (PROK), the Presbyterian Church of Korea (PCK), the Church of South India (CSI) and the the CNI discussed ways to collaborate in mission across the Asian region.

Under the theme "Just Peace: A Vision of Hope and Education in South and East Asia," the churches reaffirmed the importance of partnership and ecumenical engagement. They emphasized the need to stand in solidarity against social injustice, discrimination, and economic inequalities.

In his speech, EMS General Secretary Rev. Dr. Dieter Heidtmann urged churches to work together for peace and justice: "Together, churches can overcome hatred and oppression; the church’s response to colonialism and slavery points the way forward. Peace is needed now more than ever. Scripture says: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Now is the time to act!"

The forum also addressed concrete steps to strengthen cooperation. These include multinational missionary partnerships, the exchange of ecumenical staff, and the networking of women’s, youth, and volunteer programs.

The South & East Asia Regional Forum reaffirmed its role as a platform for regional cooperation and aims to increase its involvement in international ecumenical networks. The goal is to find new ways of intercultural and interreligious understanding and to further develop mission work in the Asian context.
