The New Issue of “EMS Insights” Is Out!
The latest issue with the featured topic “Empowering women”

“Empowering women" – that's the main feature in this issue of "EMS Insights." The free 20-page magazine is now available from the Evangelical Mission in Solidarity (EMS). Produced by a team of editors from Africa, Asia and Europe, the magazine opens up international perspectives on EMS member churches and mission societies.
Violence against women is the most widespread, yet least visible violation of human rights worldwide. It manifests itself not only in physical assault but also in the form of mental abuse, political disenfranchisement and economic exploitation. During the Covid-19 pandemic there has been an alarming increase in gender-based violence (GBV) in all its various facets. EMS Insights reports on encouraging examples of how EMS member churches are meeting this challenge.
The 4-page featured article is dedicated to a women’s group of the Moravian Church in South Africa (MCSA) which is committed to taking a stand against gender-based violence. In an interview, the Lebanese theologian Dr Rima Nasrallah talks about what it means to be one of a total of three ordained women pastors in the Middle East. Reverend Marceline Yele Lambiv from Cameroon gives a spiritual reflection on the well-known story of Jesus and the adulteress. Readers can also share in what people within the EMS fellowship are concerned about in news from the networks, programmes and associations.
“EMS Einblick” appears twice a year in German and English (“EMS Insights” only digitally). Order your printed copy in German by phone at 0711-636 78-60 or by email at info@.
