Children are our future. They should feel accepted in the church and be able to contribute their perspectives. If we want to strengthen children, we must hear their voices. The theme "Child Friendly Church" is the focus of the Children's Programme YOU+ME: FRIENDS AROUND THE WORLD.

The desire for this was expressed at a conference on children's worship in Makassar in Indonesia. Now the international team of the Children's Programme is working together with the worldwide community on the way to a Child Friendly Church.

Experts on the topic of Sunday School from Member Churches in South Africa, India, Indonesia and Germany are involved, some of whom have already developed their own concepts. Particular attention will be paid to how the children's church can become more child friendly; this concerns the liturgy, the pedagogy and also includes how spaces are designed for children.
